November 3/09 - Built a new website for my children's book. Visit IcicleHands.net

May 10/08 -
This afternoon i went to a fellow musicians house to watch the Pangea Day worldwide broadcast. Wow! I hope that many of you were watching.

It is encouraging to witness how many people in the world are awakening to the reality of oneness. That regardless of country, colour, creed or conditioning we are all impacted by the pain of violence and war. No one and nothing is impervious to grief, fear and loss.

How we treat eachother and this planet are interconnected on infinite levels. That showed through in the movies that were sent in from around the globe. Most of the movies were between 2 and 15 minutes long. Many didn't even have dialogue - words weren't needed. One of my favourite movies was about the laughing clubs started by Dr Madan Kataria in India. Truly, he started laughter yoga and laughter clubs.

If you haven't heard of either, google pangea day and laughter clubs.

March/April 08 - A great time for music events with the Juno's being in Calgary this year. As part of the Artists in Schools event I performed at a grade
K-5 elementary school and had a wonderful time with the 300 students. Thanks to the teachers who were on hand for that performance. Next was the Music Lives Here live stage at the Calgary International Airport on Apr 2nd. Airports are a very different type of gig. Thank you to Jenine who was doing tech/sound for the show.

Mar 8/08 - In preparation for my 2nd HFH build. This one is in Szarvas Hungary. Do you want to help build a home without leaving yours or straining a muscle? I invite you to click and join me in building a family a home.

Jan 13/08 - On-line Canadian indie music station  Banana Peel Radio has just added "Before The Mist" to their playlist. Show/station
producer Jeffrey Rubin is based in Vancouver. The webcast show is modeled after the British radio classic The John Peel Show. Thanks Jeffrey.

Dec 12-22/07 - I teamed up with my good friend, singer-songwriter Sora to do a caroling stint at the Pumphouse Theatre here in Calgary. We had a ball, gave away candy canes and got to dress up in schmansy caroling garb to boot.

Nov 10-20/07 - A decade long dream was realized! I went on a
Habitat for Humanity build to Louisiana. Our team was made up of 16 volunteers from across Canada. What a fantastic group of people. Check out the Global Village Program link on the HFH site. There are builds going on all over the world throughout the year.

Aug 18/07 - "Take This Wish" was selected to be included in rotation on
INDIE104 ~ iRADIO LA. This all Indie station was voted as the first
"Internet Music Station of the Year" by New Music Weekly Magazine. Thanks for the air play iRADIO.

May 17/07 - Early this morning I was in a Calgary studio reading & recording articles for VoicePrint, a Canada wide broadcast reading service. VoicePrint was created as a free service for people who are vision-restricted, learning disabled, learning ESL or in need of literacy skills. Volunteers read newpaper and magazine articles from international, national, local and regional publications. I've always preferred to read happy or inspiring stories....I feel the world could use as much happy as it can get. You can check out VoicePrint programming via cable, satelllite or the internet. Oh, and they're always welcoming volunteer readers - hint, hint.

May 16/07 - Thanks to Russell David host of the simplemuzik podcast, for playing "Before The Mist" on tonights show. Check out Episode 38 on the simplemuzik site. I came across Russell's show a few weeks ago and was hooked. I think 'indie all the way' would be his motto if he had one. He is a singer/songwriter out of San Francisco and a great conversationalist.

This past summer I recorded my latest single "What We Are" at Hummingbird Studios in Calgary.  An MP3 for the song is now available for download from this site. Just go to the CD's page...

3 single tracks are  now available in MP3 format. You can listen to and purchase singles or tunes from my CD Flight right from the CD's page.  Two of the singles fall into the genre of  instrumental latin/light classical guitar. Other than this site they can only be found on a CD titled "Mirage" recently released by duo WilliamCarey.  Keep checking back for new MP3's  - next will be a couple of tracks from 'The Girl Who Married A Ghost' a feature length film that was a part of the 2003 Calgary Film Festival. The soundtrack was produced and recorded at Hummingbird Studios.
